BGT Summer Solstice Ceremony

Summer Solstice (June 20th this year) is the longest day of the year, with the Sun at its highest point in the sky. With Covid-19 and police taking our people and Black Lives Matter uprisings for justice, and the world feeling upside down, we are experiencing personal and collective upheavals. I’ve been having my own ups and downs, alone-time and together-time, and gathering strength from ancestors, family, community and friends, and was not sure if I was going to offer the Summer Solstice ritual, but I believe we need it now more than ever.

BGT is offering an opportunity to pause, address and soothe what’s happening in our bodies and nervous systems. In lieu of the in-person summer solstice ritual, BGT will be providing the first virtual Black Girl Tantra Summer Solstice Ceremony via Zoom, from the comfort of your home, shelter-in-place spot, or your spot in nature.

You will be given space and time to align with your erotic inner wisdom & to illuminate your super power that you bring to the world (there is no wrong, right or perfect way to do this). We will be working with the energy of water (cancer) and fire (the sun): What is your magic? How do you illuminate your magic? And most importantly, How do you nurture yourself, before, during, and while offering your super power?

We will activate our erotic energy with a nurturing calming guided meditation, individual altar building and setting intentions for our collective and individual healing goals, bringing our individual gifts and nurturing intentions to the forefront.

BGT will celebrate Summer Solstice on the actual Solstice this time, instead of a week before. We utilize the illuminating energy of the sun in nurturing cancer, new moon in cancer and solar eclipse energy for change.
